Beaches
A sandy stretch of riverfront at the foot of Gilbert Road along the Fraser River. For many locals, Gilbert Beach is a destination in itself, a place where families can picnic, children can clamber over the driftwood scattered along the shoreline and birdwatchers can look for strays from the Reifel Bird Sanctuary located on Westham Island on the opposite bank.

Performing Arts
The Gateway Theatre is Richmond’s only live professional theatre and the Lower Mainland’s third largest theatre company. Located in Richmond’s city centre overlooking beautiful Minoru Park, the Gateway is an easy 20-minute drive from Vancouver, Delta & Surrey, or 1 hour from Bellingham.

The Gateway Theatre is owned by the City of Richmond and operated on its behalf by the Richmond Gateway Theatre Society. While the city pays for overhead and staffing, the Society pays its own way to present the Mainstage Series, New Play Series and Educational Programs. Ticket revenues only cover half of the cost of our productions and the balance must be earned by the Society. Your support is essential to our continued success, and we believe we can count on you.
